I can’t decide if Alex is right and I really do have a death wish or if the image of you as a youngster half dead and sleeping in one of ours beds still pisses me off enough to jump into this shit.” He did get up then, relaxing his hip against the pew where she sat. “I don’t see any reason to tell anyone anything about you other than the two I mentioned. From a purely selfish standpoint the more people I would tell the stupider I would look. And I don’t like to look stupid. If you knew me you’d know that I have toed the line most of my life, I’m a good soldier and I have good instincts. And I appear in control of my all my faculties like a big boy. I don’t want to ruin that. I live with one of the best lycan fighters the world has ever known and I hate when he tells me what I can and cannot do. You telling me what I can and cannot do, it’s not gonna happen kid. You’re gonna have to learn to trust me and my judgment. I can promise now that I have no intention of outing you in any way. Someday, that might change because something changed and if it does it’s not likely I’m going to have the time to check in with you and check if that’s okay. You’re just going to have to trust me, or this will never work.” __________________ Each game of chess MandyMeans there's one less Variation left to be played

Astrid's death was still on his brain, but she auctioned her whole soul so it was to be expected. He was walking down the street. Everything was so different now and even though he had lived in Liberty City, it still felt somewhat uncomfortable to be there for some reason. As he was walking down the highway he saw him. His former mentor Antonio. Shaking his head he walked up to him."What brings you to Liberty City?" he asked in an icy tone. "I thought you would be traipsing around France or Prague or something like that. And what makes you think I would want to get together and 'converse' with you?" Kiara Kiara was the first mage to arrive at Jennifer's place. She wanted to be early because it's better than being late. Plus, she wanted to help her to get things set up. It was a nervous day for all of them and the only way to get through it was to distract herself."Something to eat would be lovely," she replied. "Thanks." __________________ TL•KS•RP ღ

She leaned up against the pew in front of her, drumming her fingers up on her arm. Shaking her head, against all things, Aya could have just lunged at the lycan. Or at least attempt to hurl a fireball at him. Not the smartest thing to do if she were wallowing in her anger. The same grin remained on her face as she kept her eye on Daniel. "I never asked to get dragged through the snow, now did I? Granted, I have no idea who it was that brought me to your place." Aya placed her hat on her head, putting out the candles on the chandelier, leaving the ones on the shelves and walls lit. The smile on her face dropped as she contemplated on how to word her next sentence without revealing what she had done not too long ago to a vampire and a "fellow" mage. Then again, if Daniel wanted to put Hannah's life on the balance, that was his business, although Aya found it disturbing. "There are some things that have happened lately that I wouldn't feel comfortable if those things were tied back to me in any way. Then again, considering what we both are, I can't really stop you in revealing some certain things about me to Hannah." Looking around the atmosphere of the cathedral, Aya was certain that there was more to this place than the pews she had gotten herself comfortable with. Churches do have an upstairs and a basement, now don't they? "I've only been in this church last night. I actually stayed in a lighthouse when I came back to the city." She chuckled at that sentence. "Why don't we take a tour of this place? Maybe I might settle here for a while instead of hopping to another place. We could probably call it a deal by then." Antonio That wasn't a surprise that Miles would still feel resentful. Most of the time, Antonio's bluntness can be interpreted as insulting towards others, even if the tone of it was not intentional. "Well, I had to drop off a few things from Barcelona, your mage friend for example." He swung his foot forward, casually kicking away a plastic bag that drifted towards their direction. "Then I thought, I haven't been to this city before. Might as well make the most of it before I decide to head back. And seeing that you live here these days..." Antonio clicked his tongue, looking around the view of the buildings. Anyone not from the states that came here for the first time might view it as a cold city in terms of the many buildings, steel or otherwise, reaching tall close to the sky despite its slow deterioration. "Plus, I suppose you could say I'm a bit hurt at this, seeing that I helped you out some years ago. The least we could do is catch up with the short time." Chuckling, he looked up at Miles before he continued to speak. "When was the last time? Five? Seven years at least?"

| Hannah She sneezed. Very unhelpful, it actually exacerbated the dust situation by sending another slew of it into the air from the pages of an old book she'd been bent over, most of it, conveniently, ending up in her face again. Another sneeze. Oh, allergies. Hannah wrinkled her nose, wiping at it in a decidedly unladylike fashion and sniffling, utterly miserable. Her eyes had even begun to water, sod it all. If Drake decided to join her at that precise moment… egh. She couldn't imagine how terrible she must've looked, red-faced and red-eyed and red-nosed and red-everythinged, covered in dust from the accursed library books she'd been curious enough to page through and sneezing away. You'd think she would've learned her lesson by now -- the library was the usual place she met her lovely vampire friend, and there wasn't much else to do while she waited for him to show than look through the remaining stock of books. All dusty and killer for her allergies. Now, of course, she had a true purpose when she sought out a book here, a newspaper there -- an effort to glean some information about alchemy and lycanthropy that might help her better understand the dreadful situation at hand and perhaps lend a bit more usefulness to her people than Jennifer thought her capable. Proving her wrong was a constant delight. [open] OOC: Requests for characters to be placed are welcomed. At the moment I'm too braindead to contemplate where to put who.__________________ Last edited by dreamboat : 10-02-2009 at 10:19 PM. | |||

Lately, the city had been either cloudy or windy. And the occasional rain that came through during the day time. Last he checked, the day wasn't exactly all sun shining but more of a bleak cloudy one. As he headed for the staircase, Drake could have sworn he heard Louis talking to himself. Or so he assumed. There were just the things he needed to clear his mind of and consoling Casamiro about it was definitely not the way to go, despite his ongoing curiosity of Drake's relationship with Louis back in the days. Drake made his way out of the manor and headed for the old library several streets down. If not his manor, that's where he usually ended up if he needed to clear his mind. Entering from the back door, he walked about the first floor until he heard someone sneezing. Who else was here at this time of the day. Unless... Walking up the spiral staircase to the second floor, a small smirk almost dared to show on his face when he saw who it was looking over the books. "Didn't expect you to be up here." Unlike the masquerade, at least this little encounter didn't involve other mages or those damned lycans. Tag: Hannah

Looking at him, he gave an inaudible sigh and then frowned. Maybe the sooner he spoke to the guy, the sooner he would leave."I really have nothing to say to you, Antonio," he replied with a noncommital shrug. "What on Earth could we say to eachother?" __________________ TL•KS•RP ღ

| Hannah She didn't quite jump at the sound of Drake's voice (really, you'd think she'd be used to irksome vampire ninja stealth by now) but her life expectancy might've just decreased by two years. Once her heart started beating again, she slammed her book shut in a completely unsuspicious manner and turned to look at her supposed friend, trying not to appear guilty. "It's a free country, and this is a public library, isn't it? I'm not doing anything illegal or nefarious sitting here reading a book don't look at me like that, Drake, there's nothing wrong with reading a book, not at all." Subtle. She adjusted her position so the title of the book, Ancient Alchemy Techniques, was obscured from Drake's line of sight. "Lovely evening, isn't it?" __________________ | |||

| Elite Fan ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Drake Walking slowly up to Hannah, Drake noticed that she appeared to be purposely concealing whatever book she had been reading earlier. Although he couldn't see the cover, he glanced over the spine of the book. Through Hannah's fingers, he could only read nent Aemy chques. Drake had a slight idea what book Hannah was looking up, even though he had his own doubts. "It's been unpredictable, I suppose." He looked out the window, leaning up against the railing barricade. With Louis now taking full reign of the higher status, the assassination of the former emperor, and having had not much blood for the past few days, Drake found it difficult to keep up the facade of being his straight self without showing his hunger tendencies. Sure, he and Hannah had met only twice after the masquerade but even those times, for some reason, he didn't go after her neck. Glancing down at Hannah, then at the book in her hands, Drake looked up at one of the old artworks on the wall. "You seem awfully calm, concerning what happened to a few mages recently." Antonio "A hi, hello, how are you would have been fine you know." Clicking his tongue once, Antonio returned his attention to the view below him the moment Miles began to approach him. He knew Miles despised him for various reasons. He could have inquired to his former pupil about the word of killings that had been going around lately, despite that they shouldn't be too concerned about it seeing that it had nothing to do with them. "I don't see any reason for you to be mad at me. If it has something to do with that mage you're close with, I was, really simply telling her the truth." A small grin creased his lips as he enjoyed the cool wind blowing against him. "What reason would I have to lie to her?" | |||

Miles didn't like the guy anymore and even if he did, he still wouldn't know whether he could be trusted seeing as how that was what got them here in the first place."Well, she was asking a few questions," he replied. "I don't even know why she even talked to you. You have been known to lie in the past." __________________ TL•KS•RP ღ

Sitting atop the concrete barricade, Antonio reached inside his pocket and took out a pocket watch connected by a chain to his coat, glancing down at the time. As if that mattered. "I don't see what you're so worked up for. She's the one who came to me asking for a ride to Paris." He stood to his feet, approaching Miles when he noticed that he turned away from him. "We've all lied here and there once in our lives. You might see me as an ass but I don't see any reason to lie to you."

I never really had any ideas myself when I wrote it. ![]() Miles Miles nodded. Fair enough, but Miles didn't understand why Antonio was there even if he did explain it. Sighing, he looked at him. They used to be close but for some reason that Miles simply forgot, he can't stand him. The only thing Miles really remembers is some betrayal, but that's it."Maybe you wouldn't," he replied with a shrug. "But that doesn't mean I like you." __________________ TL•KS•RP ღ
