I definitely want it to continue. I don't know GoT so I was letting the excitement of that die down and I was gonna reach out and make sure everyone is still involved in this one.

Looks likeGOT will probably be put on hold cause there is it enough of a turn out. So we can just keep going with the new skip. I'd love Piper for Matt. :)

I'm still interested! Life has just been nuts. I'm hoping to have time to get posts out Sunday or Monday. :) I'm reserving Rory for Lynette and Sydney for Whitney.

OOC: Excellent. Here you go then. ;)

Matthew Gallagher
She had done it again.

He, of course, knew she would. Short of physically restraining her, Mia Gallagher was going to find her way onto Clarence Sinclaire's stupid yacht, cruise, party boat thing one way or another and there was nothing her twin brother could do about it, in large part because he was out of duct tape and the handcuffs had gone conspicuously missing. The two of them had not been invited. Their father had made that very clear to them both on the way back from JFK airport after Matt had flown in from Stanford, California. It was the reason Matt was back on the East Coast so soon after Christmas. He did not need his father somehow implementing bold faced type into his actual speech to know that he and especially Mia would not be welcome at Prescott Sinclaire's engagement party. Mia would not be deterred though, propriety be damned, and Matt had come to the rescue enough times over the past couple of months to make him reevaluate his present circumstances. Truly, he did not wish to leave California, the anonymity it afforded him being of far more value than anything else, but he did not see how he could continue in the fashion for much longer without it eating a hole in his back pocket. Also, it wasn't fair to Jessica. Jessica Jones had stared at him pitifully on the arm of his couch for the fourth weekend in six, not understanding why her most trusted companion and dog treat dispenser had to leave her yet again. Her heartbroken face had only strengthened his resolve to keep Mia as far from Prescott fucking Sinclaire as he could.

It had not worked.

And worse, she had managed to completely give him the slip. Matt stared dumbly after the guests on the boat, sticking out like a sore thumb because not having an invitation meant he did not know it was a costume party of sorts. A sea of feathers and glitter greeted him. Purples, greens and golds made up the kaleidescope of color that weaved through the crowd. An impressive variety of masks were on display, made of wire, ceramic and porcelain, each one more elaborate and ornate than the next. Matt's gaze lingered uneasily on a long beaked mask, remembering they were originally warn by black plague doctors during the medieval ages. It was the lack of a mask and not an invitation that had originally barred him access to the party, but while the boat was populated with New England's wealthiest socialites, the staff was made up mostly of starving college students and so Benjamin Franklin's face was enough of an incentive to make the bouncer turn a blind eye to his lack of a costume.

Unfortunately, everyone else seemed to notice. Matt could only grumble irritably under his breath and shoulder his way through the crowd in hopes of magically finding his twin sister before she could cause any trouble. When he thought he spotted her crown of dark hair turning a corner on the boat in the distance, he plowed on ahead blindly, careening ungracefully into one of the guests and sending them to the floor. "I'm... sor-" he started, equal parts apologetic and distracted as the girl with the dark hair disappeared from view. "Sorry, again, so sorry ... I don't normally hit and run like this, but ..." Matt stammered while blindly reaching for a hand and lifting the injured party back to their feet. "Yeah, again ... sorry, I've gotta g- ..." And then he was off, tearing through the crowd while muttering Mia and a string of obscenities under his breath.
