I think Haley would have been all right but Phil was right to freak out, I know my parents did when I first went out drinking. If it were Claire, she would be very controlling, they wouldn't have gone to have those chicken wings

Love the thread title because it doesn't happen most of the time.

And I agree, Claire would not let Haley go and have fun on her own. She wouldn't have to use a GPS because she'll always have her eye out for Haley. I do love it that Phil still thought of Claire even if he was miles away from her after confronting Haley with that guy.

I think when you saw Phil panicking it was him thinking of how claire would react. That's why I'm glad it was only him and Haley because you saw how much he cared, and he and claire have a different way of showing it.

I think Claire's MO is more "let's get this problem solved now the fastest way possible" and Phil's more of a mellow guy, he cools down and tries to talk things out

We've also seen Phil give great advice, even Haley said that her dad was goofy but he says real sweet things when he means it. I think Claire's habit is to nag and lecture that sometimes it doesn't come across that well.
