Old Soul {Manny||Rico} Appreciation #2: You'll never go broke playing into a rich guy's ego. Write THAT down.
Welcome to the 2nd Manny Delgado appreciation thread! Credit Supporters 1. NOLA504 2. LiVenLoVe902 3. Creamsodaqueen 4. Endless Obsession ♥ 5. bellagrey13 6. carito 7. misst89 8. Barrybgb 9. girlyshorty85 10. 'Tos 11. L i N d $ @ y 12. Sheebs 13. MPFan09 Who is Manny Delgado? Manuel Alberto "Manny" Delgado (Rico Rodriguez), Gloria's 11 year old son from her first marriage, is very outgoing and not the least bit self-conscious. He is very mature and intuitive for his age and is often shown doing adult-like things, such as having conversations with Claire about her marriage and kids, and drinking coffee. He has inherited his mother's passion for life (although he is terrified of butterflies), though Gloria has also said, "Manny is passionate, just like his father."This causes Manny to be very romantic. Manny is not afraid to take chances, leading him to ask out older girls, and develop a crush on Haley. He idolizes his absentee father, often speaking about him in a positive light, even after being repeatedly disappointed by his father's broken promises. He plays for a soccer team, fences, and is a skilled chess player. He is often seen wearing or intending to wear his "burgundy dinner jacket." Who is Rico Rodriguez? Rodriguez currently plays the role of Manny Delgado on the ABC sitcom Modern Family. He is the younger brother of actress Raini Rodriguez. Possible titles: Stop marching, you’re dancing, not invading Poland. "Think Antonio Banderas in a 12-year-old kid's body." __________________

Both but the one with the flute always cracks me up.
Manny wants to be home-schooled? I do agree with Gloria that he's a little bit old fashioned. But Manny always have some troubles in school and is always worried about stuff. I like that Gloria offered help but she was giving him hilarious advice. I love this exchange with Jay. Manny: Well I can't speak for Jay but, I guess I'm too proud to ask for help. Jay: Are you kidding? She still cuts your steak. __________________

I forgot a lot of what Manny's story was, because it was very minimal and could have been built on, but we got a glimpse of his worries about school and refusing gloria's help. __________________

Gloria: “Remember the first time you saw the kids with the backpacks with wheels, and you thought they were too flashy?”
Manny: “You’re going to school, not boarding a flight to Denver!” |

And Manny worries about school so much. Back at that age, all I ever wanted to do was play. When Manny's worried, it's always a cause for concern. __________________

God I know, I was always playing at that age, I wouldn't worry about school! He needs to take a leaf out of Luke's book.
