“The Long Honeymoon” – This summer has been exceptionally blissful in the Dunphy house, Alex is away on a humanitarian trip and the rest of the family is getting along swimmingly, but when Alex comes home, there is an immediate shift in mood. Mitch and Cam have returned from their honeymoon and Mitch is acclimating to real life much quicker than the still lovey-dovey Cameron. Meanwhile, Gloria has taken issue with how little effort Jay puts into his appearance and decides to give him a taste of his own medicine. “Modern Family,” WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 24 (9:00-9:30 p.m., ET), on the ABC Television Network.

“Modern Family” stars Ed O’Neill as Jay, Julie Bowen as Claire, Ty Burrell as Phil, Sofia Vergara as Gloria, Jesse Tyler Ferguson as Mitchell, Eric Stonestreet as Cameron, Sarah Hyland as Haley, Nolan Gould as Luke, Ariel Winter as Alex, Rico Rodriguez as Manny and Aubrey Anderson-Emmons as Lily.

“The Long Honeymoon” was written by Danny Zuker and directed by Beth McCarthy-Miller

What did everyone think about it?

I thought it was funny. Felt bad for Cam when Mitchell went to him about being too romantic.

Also, poor Alex. The way her family felt when she came home and things started happening, like it was her fault. She has always had to be the grown up in that house and it sucks b/c she never really was able to act like a normal child (feel her pain :( )

And Gloria giving Jay a piece of his own attitude....priceless.

I stayed up and watched live :lol:

I loved it :D I can't even single out one specific part that I loved because it was all fantastic!

God, how I missed this show. every minute of the ep was hilarious :lol: Gloria looking like a homeless person xD the Dunphys living in harmony while Alex was away, and when she arrived everyone wanted her out, poor thing :D but without her those dummies would've died they were so careless :lmao: I also loved the scene where Mitch ruined all the fun Cam had planned for the anniversary :lol: ahh it was pure perfection
