I was thinking that as well

It was just something I was thinking about today.. and I think Adam's dad will die in the pilot, which that will either leave him with no parents (maybe a grandmother like the books)

Yes, I'm assuming it will be like in the books or a least very nearly like it, they might add in something new there so that we will be a little surprised.

Because Adam Harrington was cast as his dad and that's him in the scenes.

Plus it was mentioned in the original script.. and probably will be kept for the show, we just haven't seen the scenes in the promo. It's his dad. I believe it even says on IMDB
