They do.

Just pointing out that for someone who can obviously see there's a great attraction between her AC and even asked if she has anything to worry about she sure does like to send them off together a lot.

I hate this triangle so much. It's obvious they're going to write Adam/Cassie as the "epic" couple and just make Adam/Diana a prop/seem like it's nothing compared to the "written in the stars" BS that is Adam/Cassie.

A/C are already ruining the show for me tbh. This whole triangle just seems forced and unnecessary. And I hope when Diana finds out that she bitch slaps Cassie and actually has a reaction. I don't want her to forgive them easily b/c they don't deserve it.

Also I understand what Diana is doing. It's almost like she's trying to test them. She's a smart girl. I think it's that whole keep your friends close, enemies closer kinda thing. Either way I already know I'm forever Team Diana, and even though I think she's gonna deserve better than Adam since he's most likely going to cheat on her, I'd still rather see her with Adam than Cassie only b/c I don't want Cassie to always come out on top.

I said something like that in the previous thread about Diana always pushing adam and cassie together and sending them off.I think Diana wanted to be nice and polite.

I think now that she has seen them together and knows I think she is def testing them to see as you mentioned.

I think they are kinda rushing it and forcing the adam and cassie thing a bit.

She really isn't helping herself is she? I get it, she wants to trust her man and her friend but she's got to stop sending them off together.

If she is trying to test them I find that really creepy. Also Adam isn't a piece of prize to be won he's a human being.

Adam is Diana's boyfriend. No matter how many times she sends them off together, he's HER boyfriend. She shouldn't have to worry to begin with. She may not be "helping herself" but so? He's still her boyfriend not Cassie's. They shouldn't do anything to betray her no matter how much they're tempted. Maybe Adam & Cassie should stop with their B.S. and have some self control.

You hit the nail on the head. She shouldn't have to worry, but it's still not a smart idea to send them off alone together.

This triangle is hard for me because I would consider myself both: Team Cassie and Team Diana. I like both girls. And I think the progression of this triangle has the potential to ruin things for all three characters, the friendship potential, and the relationship aspect regardless of shipper preferences.

In contrast to you, I like AC, but I agree - the triangle definitely feels like it's being forced on us, especially by setting up Diana and Cassie to be at odds with each other from the start over a boy (aka. Adam). That saddens me - I really wanted a good Diana and Cassie friendship but if this triangle goes any further into betrayal territory, it's going to be hard to ignore.

Right now - I can't say I see outright betrayal, though. Adam and Cassie have to be able to handle being around each other - this isn't a situation where we can say these two should just ignore each other and stay away in order to avoid temptation and acting out on their feelings. They are all a part of the same circle and have to be able to work together in each other's presence. So, I'm not bothered by such things like Adam showing up at Cassie's to check up on her, or him trying to be her friend - even though they harbor deeper feelings than that. My problem will come if they give in and act on those feelings while Adam is still with Diana.

^^ There are soooo many things I cannot stand about this triangle. I mean the fact that Adam/Cassie are supposed to be destined just basically ruins the whole thing and makes everything forced and contrived. So basically if they weren't "written in the stars" would they even notice each other?

This is hardly a rootable triangle. Adam/Cassie are contrived, forced and annoying. And basically Adam/Diana are doomed b/c no matter what you know that chances are they won't end up together. So the question is, do you have will power/choice or do you have to follow your "destiny"? What means more, what's more important, how do you actually know you're with the one you're supposed to be with? If he ends up with Diana then forever it'll be "Oh but he's destined with Cassie therefore he's not with the one he truly loves" and if he ends up with Cassie then it's "Well he's only with her because he feels like he has no choice but to follow the path that was set for him. He didn't have a choice in falling in love with her, he just was because they were destined." I think that's also why I can't stand A/C b/c they just like each other b/c they feel like they have to. There's nothing genuine about it. I love that Adam/Diana choose to love each other. They both fell for each other, and it was real, and there was nothing forcing it. I can't root for Adam/Cassie b/c I just don't think anything is real with them, it's just all based on the fact that they're "written in the stars".

This is not a good triangle at allll. Especially considering the pace of it. Was it necessary to start it so quickly? IMO no. Timing is everything, and aside from the fact that I find AC so contrived and forced, their timing is just ridiculous. He knew her for 2 seconds and he was about to cheat on his girlfriend of 3 years with her, really? No. I know people will argue their "connection" but IDGAF. You make the choices you make. NOTHING can force you. And that was what turned me off to AC from the beginning. It was way too quick and way too rushed. They could've taken their time with all of this. Let us get to know the characters individually. Let us get to know Adam/Diana as a couple and really get to see them together, without Cassie in the way. Just how they were, because obviously they love each other, and I just wish they would've gotten their time as a couple w/o this lame triangle in the way. Not to mention I feel like they will undermine what Adam/Diana had for Adam/Cassie which will be another thing I can't stand.

Then of course Diana will turn out to be the bad guy. I saw a post on tumblr of someone saying that they hated Diana and she should stop getting in the way of Adam/Cassie, um REALLY? NO! WTF. Granted I think people who think like that are in the minority b/c most people seem to understand that he is DIANA'S BOYFRIEND. But still. How does thinking like that make sense? Then of course people are basically implying that it'll be Diana's fault for "pushing them together". UM NO. Idgaf if she locks them naked in a room, they make CHOICES, and they should have enough respect and decency not to do anything they know they shouldn't be doing. I don't understand why people are acting like Diana is doing something wrong. Who gives a crap if she "pushes them together" that's not excuse. Not in the least.

This triangle is lame. I can't root for a couple like Adam/Cassie and their interaction is making me dislike them.

As an AC fan, I will say that I believe the connection is there and this is the draw or pull they felt to one another in that scene. However, I do agree, it doesn't excuse Adam being so ready and willing to act on that connection and betray his girlfriend of three years. I won't lie and say that didn't bother me, because it actually does. As an AC fan, I actually want better than that for my couple - I don't want them betraying people they 'love' or 'care' about in order to be together.

I can only give you my interpretation into that: Probably not but I don't see this as a bad thing. To me, it just means that they are the equivalent of 'soulmates' and because of this - they are drawn to each other and it was meant to be. They have a purpose, I might not know what that is at this point, but I like that. Being 'meant to be' is pretty awesome, in my opinion. I like the idea of a higher power out there that just goes beyond 'making free will choices' which is pretty 'random' and 'whatever' to me. I don't see it as being 'forced' at all. To me, there is a 'knowing' that is inside of such couples. I don't have anything against a 'destiny' message/context in the story, as long as the story reflects why and it makes sense, and I get to see the couple display it when they are with each other.

But I can see where you might have some issues with the execution of it because honestly, I think execution is everything when it comes to selling such a storyline. I know I didn't buy into it during my Roswell days when the show did it for one pairing: Max/Tess. Then again, I thought it went against what the show had already established which was that the couple that came before them was meant to be. So, my problem wasn't really with 'destiny' itself - my problem was with the couple they were trying to shove it on. But I disgress on that, just providing my own example about where execution of such a storyline has failed me in the past. Personally, I'm not a big fan on the way they decided to set up the AC story (with the triangle) - I would have preferred a different approach, but there is still enough for me to be intrigued on 'why' they are meant to be. Ethan's story and limited information on it has me curious.

In the end, for me, I think it's a combination of both. Free will can be used to try and make something happen but then it doesn't work out because it was never meant to. Or, something can be meant to be and someone can fight it with free will and possibly risk never being happy because of the inability to submit to a higher calling/plan out there. So, they might end up hopping from relationship to relationship based on 'choices.'

Normally, I think it works best when a person's free will choices line up with what is meant to be. Free will choice is still being used when someone decides to go along with their destiny, I think.

My opinion, of course.

This I do agree with. I think most relationships serve a purpose for us to grow and learn from, even if all these relationships are not meant to be forever, so I don't think me saying this undermines AD in any way. AD might not be 'forever' but that certainly shouldn't play into them being treated less than AC. I certainly don't see it that way as an AC and an AD fan.

I, too, I'm frustrated that AD is mainly just playing off of the the triangle. I wanted AD to have their own relationship, their own moments, and then if and when it ends, it ends. But I don't want their 'end' to be because of a stupid love triangle - it would insult me as an AD fan and an AC fan. Because even if AC are meant to be, it shouldn't come off of the expense of hurting other people through betrayals and unfaithfulness.

I totally understand the appeal of that when it comes to stories, but when it comes to these two it just bother me tbh. I think you may be right about the execution of it that really is the problem. I think a part of me believes in soulmates and destiny as well, and I think a lot of my OTP's were soulmates and meant to be together, but with Adam/Cassie again, I don't know but something about their story just doesn't appeal to me and turns me off. Maybe it's the fact that from the first episode they had to be referred to as soulmates, and written in the stars, and it just felt cheesy and like it was the only reason they really acknowledged each other. It just didn't feel real. With Roswell, I always believe Liz/Max were the real soulmates/destined to be with each other, and I think the whole purpose of that was to show that you do have free will. He was "destined" to be with Tess b/c that's what he was told, but his soulmate was obviously Liz. I love that he followed his heart. Same with Michael/Isobel.

For example, I believe that Sydney/Vaughn were soulmates and destined to be. They too also had an attraction/connection from the beginning and although it was never said "You two are destined and soulmates" you could FEEL it, and see it, and everything moved at a great pace, and it was real and felt genuine. I just don't get that from Adam/Cassie, and maybe I also b/c I love Diana I just feel resentful as well towards them.

Also I'm not a big fan of the triangle and find it unnecessary. I feel like the stories for both couples could be told without it.

When it comes to free will and destiny I don't really know where I stand. I'd like to think that I have a choice in the path I choose to take, but at the same time I feel like in a way my "destiny" and path is already set out for me. I feel like life is a mixture of circumstance and choice. It's the choices you make based on the circumstances you're in. I'm just not sure how big of a part this will play in the triangle and in what way. Will Adam actually be thinking about this, or just to choose to accept his destiny without acknowledging his free will. But to be honest, from the way the triangle is being set-up I don't really have much hope for Adam/Diana. It's pretty obvious Adam/Cassie are the "it" couple of the triangle and that's probably another reason why I can't stand them. I hate one sided triangles, and it always ends up undermining the other couple.

I completely agree with your lasts 2 paragraphs. I wish that Adam/Diana could have their story, and could end together when their road comes to an end. I just hate this story and the triangle is just a huge turn off to the show. I'm still worried they'll undermine them, b/c that's what usually happens. I just hope that when Adam and Cassie eventually get together that doesn't change the history between Adam and Diana. 3 years is a long time, and I'd just hate for the writers to make it seem like just b/c Cassie is who he is "destined" to be with, then he shouldn't still feel for Diana. I want him to continue to care and want her forgiveness and want a friendship and her to be part of his life. I know it'll take time obviously, I don't want that rushed, but I'd hate for them to just not acknowledge each other and act like what they shared meant nothing. I just feel like like Diana and Diana/Adam fans will get the short end of the stick. I just don't want her to be so forgiving and be the bigger person. I really don't. She deserves to be angry and they should work for her forgiveness. I'm just worried she'll be so nice to them and just accept what they've done and not have a real reaction.

Anyways I just rambled on, ignore me lol. I don't know if I even stayed on topic but yeah I just have a lot of feelings.

Well it's a complicated triangle so it's bound to bring up some feelings. I honestly don't know how I feel about this triangle, I just wish it was over soon.

My biggest complaint is the triangle is so one sided. i was upset they cut their locker scene. A/D really had one emotional scene and thats the car scene. i wanna see more of that. I wanna understand and see why A/D r in love and r together instead of just being told.

I think Diana pushes A/C sometimes causes shes trusting and wants to trust them. She admitted shes insecure and I think shes trying to get over that and show shes not worried anymore.

I love Diana so much I just dont wanna see her hurt. Thats why its hard to root for A/C
