Plus take what you will, they had to make it clear to the audience the plot of the books/ her relationship with Adam is more than just attraction.
It's definitely not rushed to me. It's all been understandable.

Some people may not like the whole destined thing. But really.. whether you like it or not.. you can't outrun what's meant to be.. not really.

At the time that I watched it, I thought when she said .. "yeah, I'm a witch" they were going to clean the house with magic.
