There's also something else I'm questioning. With the confusion regarding the six families, which parents are 'specific' to the six families that the show keeps referring to? I'm assuming Cassie's mom is from one of those families - Cassie now has her Book of Shadows. Diana found hers but I'm still not clear as to whether that came from her mom's side of the family or her Dad's?! Which parent of hers is from one of those six families?!

I do take it - Ethan would probably have a book to pass on to Adam since Ethan mentioned how his family was connected to Amelia's (in the stars) for a long while?! So, Ethan's family would definitely or most likely be considered one of those families. But, would that mean Adam's mom had her own book of shadows to pass on too ... or do the parents just share one 'Book of Shadows' (that they create together) that they then can pass on to their children?! I find that very confusing, to be honest.

Or ...

Is it considered 'six families' because the parents were considered a new 'one family unit' after they married?! So, it would be considered something like this (not necessarily in this order though):

Cassie's mom/dad - #1 family of the six families
Adam's mom/dad - #2 family of the six families
Diana's mom/dad - #3 family of the six families
Faye's mom/dad - #4 famiy of the six families
Nick's mom/dad - #5 family of the six families
Melissa's mom/dad - #6 family of the six families

Seriously, if the books are 'generational' - this setup would confuse me. How many parents would have a book passed down through the line?! Because, if Cassie's group is all 100% full witch (like Faye told Cassie in the pilot) - this totals 12 parents. So, shouldn't there be two sets of books in each of the six families ... one from each parent to pass down to Cassie's circle?!

Actually, the book numbers could keep increasing the further back in the line you go if there was truly no 'outsider blood' mixed into the line.

I was wondering about the books too! Aren't both parents witches? So they should each have like two books. It's all so confusing

Her dad is Charles and he obviously was in the last circle.

I think on the show just one parent has to be a witch, where in the books both parents were witches. Which is one of the reasons why some weren't happy about Cassie joining since till the end it was thought she was only half witch.

The more I think about the parent's the more questions I have. Because both of Faye's parents were witches. And since there are only 6 families some of them have to be related.

I'm surprised that Charles and Dawn hadn't put their books in a place where the kids cand find it. After all they want them to be able to do magic right?

Ethan on the other hand I can see him not wantng Adam to do any magic to keep him safe or thinking he is.
