I just wonder if he even thought that it had something to do with the past and that circle. Adam does know that those two where part of it right?

I think Adam is so sure they abolished witchcraft that he doesn't even wonder about their parents being witches anymore.

Yes this. They know there was a circle, but the thought of them still practicing or even wanting to practice isn't something he'd concider. I guess their parents have made it clear they want nothing to do with that anymore?
