Not idiots, just more concerned with an instant money grab , rather than developing a show that could eventualy become a bigger hit. Did you know in Buffy's first season they came in 8th on the network? It wasn't till season two that it climbed to 2nd on the network and then number one on its third season. That would never happen now, the CW would have cancelled it after season one. The CW needs a show to be a huge hit right away or they cancel it or just do nothing to help improve its ratings and leave it to stagnate for years (Nikita). I have no doubt had TSC had a second season and they had kept the quality/pace of the final part of the season up and the CW bothered to promote it properly, the ratings would have shot up. The show had insane potential for growth Lol, rant over.

Anyway, speaking of Buffy, Diana and Cassie were shaping up to be Buffy/Faith esque, except even more angsty with being actual sisters and the whole awful family history. Flawless storyline and it was only going to get better!

That's exactly why I see them as idiots. Instead of waiting for a show full of potential to grow bigger, they just played safe with shows like Hart of Dixie, because seriously, that show will never be more than "who should Zoe be with?", which makes clear how stupid they are. I still can't believe all this.

I like the Buffy/Faith comparison, though I kinda hope Cassie and Diana wouldn't have went that dark in their relationship.

I don't know about Buffy and Faith level of crazy. But, if there had been a storyline were one of them got really out of control with dark magic, I could see the other one thinking it was their responsibility to deal with the other one.

Hart of Dixie will never score above 0.6 in ratings, it only got up that high because the Zoe/ Wade ship took off a bit and that will soon decrease when shippers get tired of how much they will no doubt draw a triangle out. TSC had much more to it and much more potential for growth. But, network short sightedness is a killer obviously.

TSC didn't have time to develop the ships that much, they really were just planning on having many many seasons. There was suppose to be time to get to all that.

I wish they would've waited for the reveal that DA were together and had DC bond for a little bit then throw the triangle in there I feel like because of Adam they couldn't be as close as they might've been if he wasn't in the picture I love that their sisters but i just wanted so many things from this show, especially this relationship
