I need new skincare. I've been having skin breakout for the past few days

Clinique is good. Used their Acne Solutions before or their Redness Solutions. My skin is very sensitive to changes in location/travel/weather/food.

I mainly use the Total Turnaround Concentrate over the Estée Lauder Advanced Night Repair Serum. Only when the air is very dry I sometimes alter this treatment with Kaufmanns Haut und Kindercreme. Which smells really lovely.

I'm using Clinique now but I think it's not suitable for me. I'm using their basic skincare, the 123 stuff. I talked to the SA and I told her that maybe I need something milder than the one she recommended to me. But she said that I did not use the product properly, which to be honest, I felt kind of insulting.

I used Total Turnaround Concentrate a couple of weeks ago because I got a free sample but I THINK that causes the breakouts.

I Estée Lauder Advanced Night Repair Serum! It works wonders on me but the one bottle I had finished last week. It's so expensive over here and I don't think I can afford a new bottle anytime soon

I never liked the 123 step stuff. The only thing I'm using from it is the clarifying lotion. Especially the Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion I think is crap. So I'm all for picking and choosing.

So what kind of break outs? Is your skin dry?

The one Clinique thing that did make my skin breakout was that new thing they have, the "Even Better Skin Tone Corrector" something something. All products of this line made get a rash.

When in doubt, I use Elizabeth Arden's Eight Hour Cream. I also like their Intervene line which is a bit lighter.

I'm sorry if you felt offended but my journal is there for me. Plus it had nothing to do with you. We need not discuss this. In fact I prefer we didn't as I am very vunerable at the moment.

Maybe they have a sample at the store? Try it on a small patch of skin?

Do you use the clarifying lotion daily? I find that I can only used it every few days because it's too drying for me. As I said, I mentioned it to the SA and told her that maybe I should use Skin Type 1 instead of 2, but she was adamant that Type 2 will work best for me. Then I read somewhere online that another user also have the same problem. So she only used it every few days and it works better.

I used to think that DDML is awesome, but now I don't. I don't think it does anything. So I may want to change to the Clinique's Moisture Surge when I'm finished with my DDM. I'm not giving up on Clinique just yet

Pimples. They're not huge or anything but they're still visible I can feel the bump when I touch my skin

I'm ashamed to admit this, but where I'm from, the SA are very stingy in giving out free samples. They'd only do that when you actually BUY something from them As for trying the product from their samples display, I have yet to have a great experience with that. They're all smile and nice when you inquire about their products, but when you say that you need to think about it before buying it, they'll turn sour on you. OR they'll only treat you like human when you dress the part. Most of the cosmetics SA in the malls here are snobs.

What is it with that stupid sales rep? Yes, I use Type 2 but my mum uses Type 1. There's a reason there are different strengths.


Yes, I used that for a while and loved it. But where I live now the air is too dry and I need something richer. But back in the humid climate where I lived before it was perfect.



No, that's something totally different and it gave me tiny "pimples" that were more like a rash. The TTC however, I love. But everyone's different.


Sorry to hear that. See, even if you have the money - come one, you don't want to waste it on something that doesn't work on you. *shakes head*
