Thanks for the new thread, Nina!
I'll repost from the previous thread: Quote:

Don't get me started on Peggy and her pregnancy stuff! :puke:
|
And I replied in the last thread: That we have to disagree on that.
And do you know for a fact that Chris Isaak didn't want to return? |
Sorry, Cathy. But yeah, I do think the writers mishandled the whole Teddy/Peggy thing.
No, I have no idea about Chris Isaak. But I assume he would if he wanted to, or if Lynch wanted him to. But perhaps Lynch wanted to keep things Cooper-centric. |
Yeah, I'm not always happy with Lynch to be honest.
|
Well, I kinda liked Lost Highway, but he lost me on Mullholland Drive. But that was supposed to be a Twin Peaks spinoff TV series that never got picked up, so he took the filmed TV scenes and then filmed additional scenes and released it as a feature film, which is why it's so choppy.
Anyway, I'm going to bed. I'm really drowsy. I hope you get some sleep too, Nina. I'll see you back here tomorrow, okay? Goodnight! |
I admit I only skimmed through Mullholland Drive because of Melissa George... :look: ... but yeah Lynch is a bit hit or miss as we've already established.
Anyway, new topic... |
Hi, Nina! I'm sorry, I just conked out last night. :thud:
I remember Melissa George was only in Mulholland Drive for a few scenes. It was mostly Naomi Watts and Laura Harring. Oh, and Watts is now on Twin Peaks as Dale Cooper's... uhh, I mean "Dougie Jones'" wife. She has no idea her husband is dead/erased because Cooper looks just like him... or rather he was "made' to look like Cooper. New topic? Okay, how about that PLL ending? All we needed was a new generation of teenage girls to have the same damn thing happen to them all over again. I guess we kinda had to see it coming, though. Addison had "Allison DeLaurentis part 2" written all over her. |
Ach... :ff: again...
|
And yet I watched it only for Melissa George.
Yeah, I was a bit meh about the whole "full circle" thing to be honest. Hm... I don't know what else... just finished watching "The Getaway". One of my go-to feel good movies. For a while I thought I wanted to be an actress but then I realised all I really wanted to be was Ali MacGraw. |
It's been so hot here today. :thud:
|
I liked Melissa George too. It's a shame she didn't have a bigger career.
I didn't care for the full circle thing either. I think it ended fine with Mona trapping Alex and Mary in her dollhouse. Poetic justice. But that ending was just, "OMG, this again?" It's not like they're gonna do another PLL series. At least I hope not. :thud: Fans have Riverdale now. Ohhh, The Getaway? Ali MacGraw was beautiful back then. Still is, but she and Steve McQueen were a great screen couple, and in real life. Too bad they divorced. I was a huge Steve McQueen fan. The Great Escape, The Towering Inferno, Bullitt, The Magnificent Seven, The Thomas Crown Affair... he was awesome. Yeah, it's pretty hot here too, Arinna. :sun: I don't mind. I prefer this than cold winter weather. |
Finally watched Rachel on Nashville...I enjoyed her but she wasn't in enough of the episode for me to really get a feel for her. But she is just so cute! :)
 Hi all, I hope all is well. |
Hi, Cathy! I sent you a PM back! I hope you're doing well!
Too bad Rachel's role wasn't that big. I hope it'll get bigger as the season goes along. I haven't watched Nashville since Teddy went to jail. :pout: |
