Gina would be great as Queen Elizabeth. I still see Cate Blanchett as Elizabeth, but it would be fascinating to see Gina's take on it.
And of course, Martin Freeman is great. He's currently been cast in an American TV series, Fargo. Thanks for the link, Christine! __________________

Cate played Elizabeth Tudor, “merry Queen Bess”, daughter of King Henry VIII. Gina will be Elizabeth Woodville, wife of Edward IV who was Richard III’s older brother. In fact Elizabeth of Woodville is Elizabeth Tudor’s great-grandmother. |

Oooops! I'm sorry. I forgot what era Shakespeare's Richard III took place in. Thanks, desafinada! Forgive my error. And it's nice to see you here.

Yeah, we could use all the posters we can get. It's gotten so quiet here lately.
Ever notice how the majority of the conversation on this thread is either about Caterina or Ascanio? Giovanni isn't that popular. I wonder why? __________________

Thanks for the pic, Christine. But that's pretty much the only condition I like to see Giovanni in. I know that historically the show didn't do him justice, but his character on the show was such a bastard I think that everyone was rooting for Cesare to kill him.
Ascanio is popular because he's such a devious character, and such a good right hand man to Rodrigo. And Caterina is just a bad-ass chick and a total MILF. Poor Giovanni loses out. __________________
