Magnificient Century is basically about the time when Bulgaria was under the Ottoman Slavery. Everything is pretty and shiny there, but only from their perspective. I can't even bring myself to watch the show, being a Bulgarian and all.
 But people say that the series is not that bad.Not so much historical shows, right now. TPBM likes to read books. __________________

I understand why you don't want to watch it Arinna Alex, I am a bit surprised you haven't heard of the Ottoman empire, a history buff like you. Suleiman lived in 16th century at the same time as Henry VIII. The story is mostly seen from the point of view of his second wife Hurrem who were captured a slave before becoming his favourite then his wife. She had lot of influence on Suleiman and was even involved in political matters. TPBM will celebrate Thanksgiving ? |

 I do know about the Ottoman Empire, Barbara. But I'm not that familiar with its historical figures. I was always more into American and European history. I'm less familiar with Egyptian and Asian history.  TPBM is a vegetarian? __________________
