Yes maybe. But slaves were just properties back then. Remember when Lucius brought back this slave kid at the beginning ? He didn't care about the poour kid, For him it was just merchandise.

True, but given that fact, Lucius still seems a lot better than most other people back then. I doubt Atia or Caesar would've scolded Titus for that.

Maybe. Nowadays, we are horrified by slavery. It still exists though :(
