Can't see the point since she has this thing with Lancelot. Anyway... not really historical that.

It's still a legend which might adhere to some truths like the Nibellungenlied but not an historical account. Did you watch Rome? I loved Kerry Condon.

Oh yes, it is. I was surprised and not even all that unnerved at the historical inaccuracies. In any case I can totally recommend it. And I'm sure I mentioned I Kerry Condon.
I'm still thinking of watching "I, Claudius" at some point. __________________

I watched "Les Adieux à la Reine" last week, don't know if I mentioned it but I really liked the movie, Diane Kruger was fantastic, and there was femslash. __________________

Giving this thread a as there are a few series coming up to discuss such as The White Queen, World Without End and Da Vinci's Demons
Recently I watched Lost in Austen which is a sort of cross over time-travel/Jan Austen mini series. It was quite enjoyable as a bit of Austen insprired fluff. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1117666/ |

I didn't even see this thread at first. I remember the German Nibellungenlied was based on the Scandanavian Volsunga saga from Norse mythology, and is yet another example of incest in mythology.......Sigmund and his sister Signy. Whole lotta shaking goin' on back in the dark ages.......like Arthur & Morgana. __________________

Im currently watching North and South, no not the 80s american civil war drama but the mini series based on Elisabeth Gaskell's book set in victorian England about a southern clergy family that move to an industrial northern town dominated by the cotton mill industry. First episode was very good, stunning cinematography. It stars Richard Armitage who is going to appear in the Hobbit very soon
