Tough if you don't have an affinity for languages, I'm afraid. English is a stretch on most days.

My French used to be so much better. It's a shame.

German. The most beautiful language, I must add, back when I used it.

Meanwhile in Squillace...

Well, not a lot of people speaking it these days...

Yes, exactly... in Squillace - about 1700km and 500 years from where I am at this very moment. Which leads back to one of the initial questions... was she gentle, was she kind?

I almost took it except the fact that it seemed like all fingers were pointing that I should take it and that made me mad

I like to think she was. But then I don't really know her, she might have been teasing. But if he fell for her I'd think that she was nice to him on some level

That's the worst when you do things because you must... see, you do understand defiance!

And yes, I agree. She doesn't strike me as a mean person. Sexually overheated maybe. Sadly, nobody filled the Joffre/Sancia prompts at the Borgias Kink Meme on LJ.

I understand it sometimes, if I don't think it's the most logical course of action then of course I'm not going to agree. I'm all about what seems most logical to me or on occasion what I see as completely illogical and against type... I think that's how I ended up with the degree I did

Yeah, she seems like she's a bit lustful but that doesn't make her a bad person or unkind, it just means she's not likely to be very faithful to him

Hah, I see logic but sometimes I just decide not to follow it.
What degree did you get?

It feels like nobody was very faithful in those times... probably a result of not really having anything to do.

Not following logic can be exciting
My degree is in art history

Well, intrigue and courtly encounters were something to occupy the time

Oh wow. Interesting. Mine... isn't. But that was kind of clear from the beginning.

And yes, it was such good times, I'm sure.

(Elsewhere in Squillace... a chicken drops dead.)

Yeah, my degree was interesting and I loved it which is why I did it even though I knew I should do something 'logical'. But I loved it and there is in linearness in the dates and times and who did this when. And you get to wonder why the painted/created each thing the way they did. Interesting to try and get in the head of each artist

All fun and games minus the part where it was always hurting someone

Are they having chicken for dinner?

That is even more true of today, I reckon.

Chicken might be an option, I would think. I doubt it will be swan - that was more of a Tudors thing.

I'd feel bad killing a swan for dinner, they're just too pretty, they should have chicken instead

Swan like geese are hard to cook. They often end up being dry. I'm just saying. Not that they'd have to worry about the cooking process personally, having servants and all.
