Again, sounds like Seattle.

Margaret is plotting with Buckingham to kill the Princes and blame it on Richard. But if Henry dies in battle then Buckingham becomes king? Wow, this is a complicated line.

Richard's son is in such a bad spot here. And he's another Edward? That's original.

Lizzie is really letting her mom have it.

Elizabeth is smelling Edward's old clothes. She can still smell him on them.

Now Anne is worried somebody has acted on her earlier words that she wants the princes dead. Richard pretends the thought has never crossed his mind.

Elizabeth doesn't know yet... that's so sad. No, he hasn't been executed, I suspect he probably died of natural causes but that's a story for another day. Now it's all about vengence and... I wonder when we resort to witchcraft. Probably after the nervy strop.

Was Margaret actually waiting for a sign from God as to whether or not the Princes should die?

Someone snuck into the tower where the princes are sleeping. But who was it? Was it Margaret's doing or Anne's?

Poor Elizabeth had to hear that Edward is dead. She's lost so much.

Of course! Elizabeth can summon up fog, wind, lightning, rain, and thunder. I know Elizabeth Woodville was a famous English Queen, but I had no idea she was a member of the X-Men.

Yeah it's like... really original. I mean, all Elizabeth, Isabel and Anne named their sons Edward. Elizabeth had two sons named Richard.

It's really not logical that Elizabeth should now so suddenly suspect Margaret. It's only explainable through anger that so soon after her own son's death it was suggested that Henry should succeed to the throne. Idk. Also Margaret has no clue whether they are dead or not. So... yeah.

Ah yeah... finally, it wouldn't be a proper episode without witchcraft!

Great, Elizabeth and Lizzie are summoning up rain. That will mess up Henry's plans. So much of English history depends on witchcraft.

Richard writes to Anne, and he's really having a hard time. And Buckingham is doomed.

Lizzie's getting the hang of this magic stuff.

I think Buckingham's letter to Margaret is implying that he was responsible for the deaths of the princes.

Oh, has Rebecca Ferguson been cast on X-Men?

Yep, that skirmish didn't go so well and then Buckingham fled and was eventually captured and executed if memory serves. His (at least according to this show much hated) wife, Elizabeth's little sister, actually was with him when he hid in some country houses for a while if memory serves.

Yep, I guess for the purpose of this show they blame it on Buckingham.

Ah yeah, Stanley takes this as chance to betray Margaret. I feel really sorry for her here... but well, she'll get the better of him soon.

Richard talks about his good name... didn't know he had one. Oh well.

Ah, don't trust him, Elizabeth. Richard's argument is flawed: I mean killing old King Henry after Edward had already installed himself on the throne for a while is one thing but killing your young nephews to ursurp the throne is quite another. I don't think that would have gone over well had he displayed their corpses to the people.

No, but Elizabeth apparently has mutant powers over weather.

Richard just discovered that the Princes are gone. So now he's showing concern for them?

Buckingham is executed. And Margaret's husband just betrayed her. She either has to go with him into exile or be executed by Richard. This guy really plays both ends against the middle.

Your good name, Richard? A little late for that.

Richard does have a point here. He reminded Elizabeth that when he, Edward, and George killed Henry VI they publicly displayed his body to show the country that his line had ended. So if he were responsible for the Princes' deaths he'd have done the same thing.

Ohhh, so here's where Lizzie meets her dear Richard. And so it begins. He's already taken with her.

Elizabeth and Lizzie just said that they would curse whomever killed the Princes, but Richard reminds them to take care, because their curses last too long and could harm someone they love. He's made another good point.

Is that Anne making confession? She suspects that she might've influenced the deaths of the Princes.

As I said, it wouldn't be a proper episode without any witchy rituals...

Richard is depressed, Anne thinks she's been cursed – again.

Yeah, of course you will marry Henry, Lizzie and it'll go quite well in the end...

And we made it through!

Another curse from Elizabeth and Lizzie.

Anne is once again being paranoid. She's afraid the curse might hit her if she was responsible for indirectly causing the boys' death.

Man, now I can see why Shakespeare wrote about Richard. He and Anne are a true tragedy.

As I said, I think his argument is flawed. It was one thing for Edward to kill Henry after Edward was already on the throne for years and the people liked him better and it was an easier sell too given how frail Henry was and the fact that his son had just died to say he died of natural causes (because that's what they said to the people). I don't think Richard could have sold the death of his two young nephews to the people quite so easily and smoothly.

Lizzie is using tarot cards now? Why not? She doesn't want to marry Henry, but her mother reminded her that she had a vision that she would be Queen. So Lizzie is letting fortune choose someone else for her, other than Henry.... I wonder who that could be?

And the episode is over! One more to go!

Yep, have you watched Shakespeare's historical plays?

Yeah, let's not dwell on Philippa Gregory not making any sense with this enchantment Lizzie feels for the murderer of her brother(s). And regardless of whether he killed the princes in the Tower, he did have Lizzie's older half-brother executed.

Shall we continue with Episode 10?
