But why did you add a link to the Borgias in other media thread under the list of fanfics? |
Because I made a comprehensive list of all The Borgias fanfiction out there in the opening post which I update on a frequent basis. So as you can clearly see I only put a link to the opening post with the fanfic links on here and not to the entire thread. If you looked at the OP - you will see that about 85 - 90% of that fanfiction is CL, a lot of things on the list that weren't mentioned on tumblr.
It's great to have a list of recs as on tumblr (because that's what I understood it was, yes? Even though for me for instance that is a platform I do not use at all, perhaps some other people have the same problem). Yet once you've read all that was recommended you might want to look for other things - hence a list with EVERYTHING (and please let me know when something slipped through my fingers but I work HARD on that not happening) - I check LJ, FF.net and AO3 regularly - is surely helpful so that you can look for other stuff beyond what was on the tumblr thing. Also I often find recs very one-sided - which is natural, since it's one person giving them. ETA: I consider fanfiction on our show an extension of the show, yet it is another medium - people writing their own stuff - therefore fanfic links are placed there. Additionally crosslinking threads on the board might be helpful in generating more posting volume when people visit and reply on other threads as well. :) |

That was my favourite scene. Perhaps the best scene in the whole series to me. On grounds of that scene alone I do not feel like I want to watch the next season. Mainly because they can only screw things up. |

True. I just thought I'd share that quote. Mainly because I'm just reading another Sancia-based novel and for about 30 pages or so, I was under the impression I was supposed to believe in love between her and Cesare. Thankfully that has changed now and he shows his evil, scheming self. ;)
So I was looking in actual biographies/history books where this was coming from in the first place about her and Cesare, or her and Juan but honestly - none of the authors could quote a historical source on this, especially Mallett thinks it was as made up as the incest allegations. Of the latter however he writes that Sforza must have actually believed what he was saying since he came from a family that was very cold and non-touchy-feely, hence the closeness among the Borgia family - and especially Cesare and Lucrezia - bewildered him. There were other interesting things in that book some of them CL related, some of them not. Perhaps, I'll quote those later in the other thread. |
Sancia and Cesare in love makes about much sense as Cesare loving being an ordained clergyman haha

New to this board but an absolute lover of The Borgias (especially Cesare and Lucrezia).
After the season finale of Dexter aired, there was a fairly long promo for season 2 of the Borgias - with a few Cesare / Lucrezia moments. I wish I knew how to upload it here or, even, better make some screencaps from it. The season looks amazing. Already have chills! On the downside, - spoiler alert -
