I loved them in tonights episode even thuogh I don't understand why she said she wants to be away from Cesare too

I know, Issi. Like I said before, Lucrezia's behavior in these final episodes is somewhat contradictory.

Perhaps she was still startled by the unsuccessful results of her own scheming and desired a quieter life for a while???

S4 would have been a disaster, if the script would have been used! It would have destroyed everything. It was awful!

Good point, Lucrezia. But I still think she was a bit harsh in her words about Cesare considering how many times he'd saved her life before.

And yeah, you're right about the story they had in mind for season 4. I would've hoped that Showtime would've pressed for an ending more consistent with the actual history.

why do you know that about S4? is there a script or spoilers on what they planned to do in S4?

Yep, Showtime released the transcripts online called "The Borgias Apocalypse." Let's just say it was 180 degrees the opposite of every bit of character development in the previous three seasons, especially regarding Cesare and Lucrezia.

omg I didn't know that! So it means it's maybe better they cancelled the show because Lucrezia/Cesare would have been ruined either way in S4?

I'd actually prefer to forget about these scripts! At least, the show ended on a highest note.

Good way to put it, Lucrezia. I would've hoped that if someone at Showtime agreed to make season 4 they would've insisted that Jordan not use that so-called storyline. Or just replaced him outright. That's happened before.

Yeah, it has happened and this is also what I hoped that would happen. A happy end for C&L.I didn't want to see all the way to Cesare's death.

Well, I told Arinna that I wouldn't have minded Cesare's death if they handled it the way the original BBC show, The Borgias, did, with Cesare dying on the battlefield and his last thoughts being of Lucrezia, as she read Cesare's final letter to her and her children. That was the only part of that original show that I liked. But I also like your idea of ending with Cesare and Lucrezia together(although with her married to that other Alfonso), and shortly after the death of Rodrigo.
