Sancia took care of Lucrezia's son by her brother when Lucrezia got re-married.

False? I couldn't find out much about baby Giovanni.

Rodrigo issued two papal bulls which stated that Lucrezia's baby had two different fathers.

True or False?

True - first one was to himself and the next one was for Cesare.

Lucrezia and Cesare hated each other.

True or False?

PhoenixRising 07-15-2018 03:25 PM

False.

Paolo was based on a real person.

True, Perotto, one of the pope's messengers.

Lucrezia and Cesare had a child together.

Alex, I think you meant baby Rodrigo? He was Lucrezia's son by Alfonso of Aragon. The answer was true. Sancia, Alfonso's sister, took baby Rodrigo, because he wasn't allowed to go with Lucrezia to Ferrara when she re-married. So horrible separating a mother and child.

BL.Arinna_1982 07-16-2018 12:37 PM

No one knows for real. I'm going for the truth her, although we really don't know. It's history after all. Who knows for sure?

Rodrigo and Vanozza had four kids.

True or False?

Alfonso of Aragon died by garotte.

I believe baby Giovanni was theirs, and possibly baby Rodrigo and some of her kids with d'Este, but we'll never know for sure unless DNA testing can be done.

Well, he was strangled that much is true.

Alex was too lazy to find an actual title for this thread.

True or false? :P

PhoenixRising 07-17-2018 05:21 PM

False, because I'm not the one who created the True or False game. :P It never had a title.

Rodrigo could've possibly had more children other than Juan, Cesare, Gioffre, and Lucrezia.

True or False?

Nikki K 07-17-2018 05:45 PM

He did have more children. Namely Pedro-Luis, Girolama and Isabella. So yes, it's true. And well...idek, Alex, you could have made one up, no?

By the way – as to your first answer on this thread, you are wrong. That was right. You looked for the wrong kid! The child Lucrezia and Alfonso had was named Rodrigo and she had to leave him behind after she got married to Aflonso d'Este and moved to Ferrara in 1502. So little Rodrigo lived with his father's sister Sanica of Aragon until her death in 1506, then he grew up with Isabella of Naples, Duchess of Bari. He died aged in 1512 aged 12, never having seen his mother again.

Altogether there were three Borgia popes.

True or false?

I think true?

Vanozza had more kids.

True or False?

PhoenixRising 07-18-2018 04:21 PM

False, I think?

OMG, really? Thanks for clearing that up, Nina.

I was actually referring to the baby that Lucrezia(possibly) had before she married Alfonso, Lila. :) The Infans Romanus.

Rufio is based on a real person.

True or False?

Mignonette 07-23-2018 05:43 PM

False? Caterina had henchmen, but I don't remember any named Rufio. He looked like a school boy with his little hat and haircut & was a weenie compared to Micheletto

Lucrezia Borgia was polydactyl, she had 12 toes, not 10.

True or False?

PhoenixRising 07-24-2018 04:17 PM

False? I can't find anything on that.

Vanozza allegedly had a relationship with Cardinal Giuliano della Rovere before becoming Rodrigo's mistress.

True or False?

Nikki K 07-24-2018 05:15 PM

True.

In 1499 Cardinal Giuliano della Rovere wrote a letter to Alexander VI. expressing his deep gratitude for arrranging the engagement of his favourite nephew Francesco Maria to the pope's niece Angela.

True or False?

PhoenixRising 07-24-2018 05:48 PM

False? I haven't been able to find out anything about that.

Cesare hired Leonardo da Vinci as a military architect and engineer.
