The best thing about the episode was - no surprise - Vanozza, being so desparate and vulnerable and then Cesare soothing her and deciding that he'd right his father's wrong. I don't even think he did it primarily to vex Rodrigo as the later obviously had been thinking judging by hs growl, I think Cesare was really angry about what was done to his mothers and seeing her cry. Cesare's and Vanozza's relationship in season 1 is something I really liked. It dropped a bit in the background in season 2 but in the last episode there it was again - I was really relieved. I think François and Joanne play off each other very well.

I liked his rebel behaviour. He did what he thought it's right and besides, he knew that Lucrezia would love that. I also liked the wedding scene, where he was carrying her to her bed. And then I remembered that scene when they asked Giovanni about the wedding night. Just look at the smirk on Cesare's face.

I really mainly think he did it for his mother. After Lucrezia, I think he cares for Vanozza the most (and defying his father is an extra bonus).

He felt bad for his mother not being able to be there. I think he cared for his family mostly than Rodrigo at this point. Heh, honestly I think Rodrigo thought with a different part of his body at that moment, clearly.

I think Rodrigo mostly thought about not offending the Sforza but I don't think Vanozza was the actual offence here, it might have added to the Sforza's resentment, but all in all I think it was the lewd play and Giulia basically sitting on Rodrigo's lap all the time.

Just one more reason Cesare may have had to resent Juan. His choice of plays was atrocious. At least Lucrezia's wedding to Alfonso had more class.

That was the wedding already? I thought it was the betrothal but anyway.
Well, it is pretty puzzling what people found amusing in those times... like public executions. __________________

Well, I'm not sure if that was the wedding.

I don't think so, I think it was the engagement party but in any case I think there'll be a time jump and we won't see the wedding. I mean we already saw two weddings on the show. We still might see Cesare's next season though.

I also think we won't see her wedding with Alfonso.
