That's a tough story to get through. I've seen a few movie versions of it. Never watched it all the way through because it was depressing.

You should read the book. It is really well written. Have you read any of the books of her sister ?

No, I haven't, Barbara. Do you mean Charlotte Bronte, who wrote Jane Eyre? I don't ever have time to read books anymore like I used to.

Yes Jane Eyre.
It is quite a good book too.
It is because you watch TV shows that you don't read anymore ?

No, it's mostly because of work. TV shows take less time. I once read a book from evening straight through to the following morning, but I rarely have time to do that anymore. I was living at my childhood home when I was doing the majority of my reading.

TV shows take more time than we realise if you add all the episodes that we watch in one month.
I read mostly when I commute to work, and sometimes in my bed before sleeping. But I read much less than when I was a child since there wasn't internet and I didn't have a TV. I bless my parents for not having a TV in my childhood.

Oh, I'd love to have some time off to read. I'd take a long vacation and read a book to pass the time.

I had a TV growing up, but I also had a lot of books that I would read by myself. I credit my parents and my grandparents on my mother's side when it came to encouraging me to read as much as possible.

And I don't feel like reading lately.

You know I like to read. And can you guess what I've watched last night? Yup, Cathy and Chris's story again.
