Watched Seeds of Yesterday and was definitely more entertaining but the actor playing Bart was BAD. I felt for Jory tho and the ending was super rushed but at least they kept most of the ending for Cathy/Chris canon in the adaptation T.T

I found the actor playing Bart very good. I felt sorry for Jory too. Did Bart provoke his accident ?
Cathy annoyed me to always defend her son when he's obviously totally mad. At the end, they make him look like he's become sane (or nearly sane), I don't buy it. |

Hi, Barbara! Hi, May!
I haven't seen Seeds of Yesterday yet, but in the book it is kind of suggested that Bart might have had something to do with Jory's accident, although it's never confirmed. __________________

I honestly felt like the actor playing Bart was OK in some scenes but when he needed to be creepy or crazy he couldn't handle it. Actually most of the cast was super meh in the last two adaptations. And how on earth is he supposed to go kinda sane in 3 days and then became a preacher and got the step sister to do the same? I mean I get it as "in the future" but when Chris dies it was recently after the whole mess that happened with Bart and Cathy yet he was still completely sane during the funeral? I dunno. |

I know, May. In the book, nine months after Chris died, Cathy died as well. I haven't seen it yet, so I'll have to comment later on.

I haven't seen it yet, but I don't like that if she didn't. She and Chris were supposed to reunite in the afterlife in the garden in the sky where the purple grass grows, like in the first book.

At the ending I was under the impression Cathy was dead in the last scene, but maybe I misinterpreted that? For the most part I found Bart decent and liked Seeds better than Thorns. I wish there had been more scenes with Chris and Cathy in the last two adaptions and more Chris, I felt he sort of became a secondary character since Flowers and Petals. I found Bart's struggle to be different than his parents by denying Cindy and turning to Malcom's teachings pretty entertaining, but definitely felt C/C took a backseat the last two books, I mean Cathy only had one entertaining scene with her mother in Thorns, the rest was mostly worrying for Bart and Seeds only showed her conflicted feelings over Bart's crazy antics and then death. Is there any hope they will make the movie about the grandma? I was reading about the series and apparently a ghost writer wrote a book about Malcom and Grandma and what happened to start the vicious cycle.

Crap. On Demand dropped Seeds before I was able to watch it. Now I'll have to see if I can find a link online.

No Arinna, she definitely died. You see her "last breath" scene and she stays in the attic window and drops her head like she falls asleep/dies with her eyes closed. She's defo dead, otherwise what was the point on ending the movie with that scene? just to see how Cathy goes to take a nap?

I haven't watched it to the exact end there, because Alex told me the real end and I was slightly disappointed.

Well, the real end Arinna is just Cathy going upstairs to the attic, knowing that Chris was up there waiting for her. And then they find her body later on, and a letter that she wrote to her children about how she and Chris would be together in that garden where the purple grass grows.

I know, Alex. This is why I wanted to see Chris there.
