I'm not sure. I guess it's common now? GoT only has 10 episodes per season. I think next season of PD will have 10 episodes. Maybe they made it short 'cause they weren't sure it'd get picked up? In any case, the episode are very on point and there's no filler story lines, every minute has a purpose
