It will be interesting to see whether or not Jon is Lyanna's son. With the letter that was released where GRRM outlined the series for his publisher, it mentioned a parentage reveal for him. But then, in that same sentence, it also mentions Jon and Arya's romantic feelings for each other. Since that's been scrapped, I wonder if the parentage reveal has been to. That would explain why that part of the letter wasn't redacted like other spoilery parts were. It would also explain why the "clues" supposedly pointing to Jon being Lyanna's son are only in the first book, just like the romantic undertones between Arya and Jon are only in AGOT as well.

Since the blue flower is a winter/Stark thing, it could be Jon. Or Benjen. Bran and Arya will probably end up at the Wall too for the climax.

It looks like he rethought a lot of things, Arya/Jon, Tyrion/Arya, Tyrion and Jon's rivalry, Jaime as king, Robb and Joffrey facing each other on the battlefield, and maybe even Jon as Lyanna's son. There does seem to be some hints or ground work for most of those things, but then no follow through because GRRM changed course. I just think it's interesting that Jon's parentage reveal wasn't redacted like the spoiler paragraph at the end. It might mean he stopped going in that direction after book one as well and doesn't mind readers knowing about his initial intent.
