Yeah, Joffrey did things because he was spoiled and was on a powerhigh. Cersei is too smart and cunning, she will never be satisfied until she rules everywhere.

I love the short hair.

Like with the long hair, she was just like every other woman in Westeros basically, keeping their hair long and beautiful and now she stands out, and like you said, fierce as hell.
