All we know it that it's going to end bittersweet. I can imagine either Jon or Dany or both dying but their dream living on and the world being saved by them.

They are starting to remind me of old western heroes. Bear with me, most western heroes are harded men who come to town with their smooth moves and fast gun slinging ways. They encounter the local evil, become an enemy of the local evil, and then take the local evil out to save the day for all the little people.

And if they aren't "tamed" by the local beauty and settle down for farm work. They usually ride off into the sunset together. Mainly because they have saved the town, but not for the likes of them. They are too wild, or too harden, or too broken by the tasks they had to complete to save the day.

And I'm not saying this is exactly Jon and/or Dany. But they have both been through so much and they will be through more before the show is over. They are the type to give their all to save their people, their love ones, and the day. So I could see them giving all their strength to bringing peace to the realm, but they will be burned up to enjoy the new beautiful world they created. And someone like Tyrion or their child/children will take on the leadership rule once they are gone. Putting their new ideals and words into actions.

I think you're right

And it would feel realistic to the show... I just can't see a happy-happy ending for it.
But it would've been nice to see that they did in fact change the world!

All endings are fleeting, as with the next ruler everything could change once again. There is always a chance at Mello-Drama, look at what is going on in the real world here in the US.
