The whore is dead. I'm not exactly surprised by that, I think they heard the majority of the fan base and the hatred for Ros, and planned to kill her off all along. But that was pretty brutal. Joffrey SUCKS.

I liked her, too, best of all the invented characters. Killing her off like that was really sick, and Littlefinger sucks as bad as Joffrey. Of course, we knew that; but LF is so slick you sometimes forget how vile he is.

I usually re-watch each episode 2-3 times during the week after it airs. Between Ros, Theon, Tywin, Melisandre and that vertigo-inducing Wall, I may not watch this one again.

I think this was the weakest episode of the season. Not terrible, but not strong at all. Loved the Tywin/Lady Olenna scene - - two brilliant actors there. Jaime got his snark back! And that li'l Bastard Bolton - - creepy.

See, I never laugh at Tywin. He's the most frightening of them all. With Lady Olenna, it's a battle of wits. For Tywin, it's a battle of wills - and he cannot tolerate having his crossed.

But yes, I did laugh out loud over the Osha & Meera rabbit-skinning dispute.

I'm not even sure if I want to rewatch this episode tbh. There were scenes I really loved I admit that but they do not make up for some of the crap they're making up right now This episode was a massive let down after the nearly perfect episode last week. But okay here we go...

Gilly and Sam are cute
Spoiler:

I do hope all this bickering between Osha and Meera will turn into a friendship. For now I'm happy we got to see more of her and Jojen. Bran is such a boss

Jon and Ygritte were my favorite thing about this episode I think. "You're going to be loyal to your woman." YOU TELL HIM GURL! They're cute together and for the first time we actually see him smiling more often.

UGH here we go this is where I'm not sure if I wanna keep watching. The archery lessons were nice I liked that. Then Melisandre arrived Thoros and her talking at first was interesting at first. Also her observing Beric. It still feels weird though since I don't understand where the show is going with this. Now... there we go. First of all I'm really pissed off about Gendry's face after Anguy made his comment about her. Gendry didn't even want to **** a whore who threw herself at him for free but yeah he'll be wanting to do the deed with some creepy red woman.
This makes the brotherhood look like real dicks? I like the Brotherhood and this makes me really ****ing dislike them. They're selling out one of their brothers? And he hasn't even been knighted yet... The only thing I liked about this bit was that Arya was trying to defend him.
STAY AWAY FROM HIM YOU WITCH! And stop telling him things he is not supposed to know yet WTH?!
AND YOU DAMN WELL BETTER KEEP YOUR CURSED HANDS OF MY ARYA BHHJDFSDMKASK!!!!!! And she is still worried about this is killing me.
I can't believe this is their last scene?
Spoiler:

Right now there is about only one thing they could do to make me forgive them about this storyline. Not gonna say what though cause whenever I wish out loud for something it doesn't happen....

The climbing of the Wall looks really intense man... I'm scared of heights/falling so only watching that made me dizzy.

Oh god I am so still not ready for the scenes with Theon and Ramsay... first I liked that we will get to see more of this but yeah... I changed my mind. I'm not ready for this. I will never be ready for this. Theon is a little **** but not even he deserves this. IWAN IS FREAKING FLAWLESS AS RAMSAY THOUGH!

Robb.... Robb.... *sighs*
Edmure's face actually made me laugh Even though I was really tense during this scene. I like how he reacted similar to Robb when he was proposed to marry one of the Frey girls (wanting to know what she looks like)
He has every ****ing right to want to say no to this? And I wish he had...

Liked Jaime and Brienne's scene with Bolton. Those two are so used to each other by now...

The scene with Tywin and Olenna was THE BEST!!!! I like that they talked "openly" about things like Loras' homosexuality and Cersei's relationship with Jaime. I absolutely love how Olenna knows about Loras and is totally okay with it. And then she asked Tywin if he ever had some experiences like that I've always wondered if Tywin knew about Cersei and Jaime...
Well... if Willas and Garlan existed that threat with the Kingsguard would have no effect because LORAS IS NOT THE HEIR TO HIGHGARDEN!!

Orell you little... But Jon Snow saved his woman

Wow that scene with Loras and Sansa was SO AWKWARD?! Also he's gay we get it... Sansa doesn't but we do... don't overdo it with the stereotypes...

I just can't bring myself to hate any Tyrion/Cersei scene because Peter and Lena always nail it. *sighs*

Oh man and I thought the scene with Loras and Sansa was awkward YIKES! Glad Tyrion himself even pointed it out.

Wow okay usually I love Petyr/Varys scenes but this was too much. And I did not like that they killed off Ros. Mostly because of the way they did it. It was absolutely disturbing and disgusting

SANSA'S FACE I AM NOT OKAY DON'T TOUCH ME LEAVE ME ALONE

I'm shipping Jon and Ygritte more and more and this last scene with them was beautiful.

Altogether...... like I said before this episode had great moments but the bad moments were just to bad... I didn't like this episode... I hope the next one will be more like the last one... although judging by the promo it won't be.

it was the weakest episode yet, i hope next week will be better. i liked the promo (maybe more than the episode itself)

Oh gosh, the episode I thought was the strongest of this terrible season by far is the one so many here are complaining about Of course that would be the way it goes.

Ros' death was awful and completely unnecessary. It added nothing to the story we didn't already know. Yes, Joffrey is a sadistic psycho who enjoys hurting people. Yes, Littlefinger is pure undiluted evil who exploits women and children. We know this. So what happened with Ros added nothing and was just unnecessarily brutal.

If that scene hadn't been there, this would have been a near perfect episode IMO because we saw the return of the Starks as the main characters. The beginning of the season positioned them as extras while minor characters took the lead. But this episode was very Stark and Lannister heavy, which is great for me since they are the characters I watch the show for.

While I'm not a fan of a lot of the changes that have been made, this episode changed my mind about the decisions to eliminate Willas Tyrell and give his role to Loras as well as the decision to eliminate Edric Storm (Robert's only acknowledged bastard) and give his role to Gendry. Both do make sense now IMO because it takes away the need to add even more characters in a character heavy show.

Also, the Sansa/Loras scene made it possible to show Sansa's happiness in the match in a concrete way that made sense for the show. In the book, her excitement is mostly in her head where she thinks about Willas and the family they'll have. That doesn't translate onscreen nearly so well as her actually being in love with Loras and spending time with him.

With Gendry, I'm happy they're giving him more screentime since he is by far the most popular of Robert's bastards. I hate that the first half of the season didn't show nearly enough of his scenes with Arya and the Brotherhood, but it's going to be interesting to see what happens with him in this new story twist. I'm really hoping for Gendry/Stannis soon.

And Mel taking the place of the Ghost of High Heart with Arya was interesting. I'm not sure where that's leading though

The scene with Thoros and Mel was great even though it wasn't in the books. It makes complete sense since they are serving the same power. I also loved the reference to Thoros' task of coming to Westeros to convert the king. Though it was Aerys he came to convert, it makes just as much sense for them to simplify to just being Robert who he was BFFs with.

And even though we know Robb is making a bad decision by trying to get in good with the Frey again, I really enjoyed those scenes too. Seeing Cat, Robb, Edmure, and the Blackfish together should be a necessity of every episode. The Tully's just aren't featured nearly enough despite how important they are. It was odd that the Blackfish was so adamant about Edmure marrying someone he didn't want to though since he refused to do the same when his brother demanded it. But it was nice that Robb admitted his mistake and let Edmure decide for himself if he would help him rectify it. I just wish we had gotten more of the Tully interactions so this moment would matter more.

Another sequence that would have benefited from more screentime before this episode was Jon's with the Wildlings. It would have meant a lot more if we had been getting more into the Wildling culture and why this is extremely important for them. But still, I loved the scenes of them making their way up. They were pretty epic. And Jon&Ygritte

Also, SAM AND THE DRAGONGLASS DAGGER!!!!! Yes! I thought that had been cut completely. I'm so glad it was just moved around. I can't wait until that comes into play, hopefully soon

Another nice touch was the title of the episode. With previous episodes, it almost seemed like they were just picking them out of a hat at random. This one actually fit the episode in a dual way. Of course, we saw the Wildlings climbing the Wall, but we also had Littlefinger's speech about a more metaphorical climb.

So, overall I really liked this episode. I hope the coming ones continue with this trend.

I am not ready to see Arya alone without Gendry. I kind of wished she followed him.
Also I was so sure she was going to hit Melissandre when they were taking away Gendry.
I've never read the books, so I'm happy for Gendry in general but boy, I shall miss their adventures together.

LMAO, I swear Edmure seems hilarious as hell. That scene was pure gold.

Olenna and Tywin were amazing too. I also think Olenna has something up her sleeve to trick Tywin about Loras We shall see.

My favourite scenes in the episodes were Meli/Thoros and Tyrion/Cersei. It was refreshing to see Tyrion and Cersei act like the two siblings they actually are.

I wish we could have seen Tyrion telling Sansa. In front of Shae. I would have taken that instead of 10 minutes of Theon being tortured by Barry.I feel like we got cheated because I really wanted to see that scene. GRRR.

I think they're bragging Bran's storyline too much. I was so excited for him because this magic storyline looked amazing but they're not focusing on it at all.I can't believe they focused on skinning rabbits and the quarrel between the two girls whose names I can't tell right now, sorry.

Don't care about Jon/Ygritte. They are fun sometimes but they've had too many scenes in this episode I don't care about, tbh. I want to know more about war, plotting and fights.

I totally agree with this. I liked the episode, but there were some things I wanted out of it. I'm glad that at least we didn't have to watch what happened to Ros. It being more of a flashback-ish scene took a lot of the pain away from it, but I was still sick after seeing it. I will say that it did serve its purpose in reminding me of how far Littlefinger is willing to go to get what he wants. It's sick.

I completely understand your feelings about Ros, I had to wait more than a day to comment the episode and not only focus on that scene. And I wasn't even a fan of her, I was just completely neutral.
