Exactly..His journey beyond the wall will not be at the beginning of the season as you said, he had to deal with some issues and warn people of danger coming cause the North won't be able to defend Westeros alone. He needs help

Maybe it will be a one episode mission like Hardhome and just .... end like Hardhome. Ah, that makes me sad though. I don't want to see them feel defeated and in pain again. Also, again... I don't want Tormund to die.

I don't think Tormund will die tho. We'll still need him in the great war. So, no I don't think they'll kill him yet.

And yeah I agree, It'll be like a mission but what for? We still don't know. Were they saving some Wildlings? or some Rangers who are still lost? Or Did Bran tell him about Uncle Benjen so Jon formed a Squad to search for him?

Ooooh. That's the only thing I can think of that would make them go Beyond The Wall. Jon really cared about Benjen and would do that..... Damn it, Jon.

Benjen seems like the reason why Jon would risk and go North of the Wall without having a full army ready to face the Night King.
I really hope both he and Tormund come back unharmed

I stumbled upon a theory/spoiler/leak (I'm not sure) which sounds very plausible as well, and now I'm annoyed that I read it since it's a very logical yet dangerous reason to be Beyond The Wall as well.
