I just watched the season finale of This is Us he is not in it in the future forward scene. I wonder what happened to his character in the future?

i was thinking the same thing, where is he and that he probably did die, but i read an interview with the creator and it got me wondering if dead or alive

I feel so bad for his character. The fans still don't care for him.

Fans don’t like someone who comes between their couple pretty much. Say Kate died on Castle and eventually Rick remarried- fans would hate that. They would rather see someone single than be able to go forward and be happy
