yeah i'm really not into Gates. i want to be, i want to find something in her i like but really i just find her boring and just not engaging. i'm hoping that as her character is developed more something will happen to make me like her.

god, you're freaking me out there ^ this is usually the only place i can go after the ep where i don't hear about the next ep. and now i even get a hard time here xD has to be one hell of a episode. why the hell is there a break already?

this was kind of the filler ep i expected. had fun watching tho i liked the Esplanie break-up talk in the beginning.

and Castle: "does it look like we're joking?"

i didn't mind Gates. i still want the old Cap back tho Castle's reaction to her deathglare at him in the beginning cracked me up. i liked that they made Beckett and Gates warm up to each other a little in this one. and Beckett going on about how great Castle is, not to mention the annoyed look when she wasn't allowed to take him with her - awwww

and is it just me or are they cutting the hair porn short this season? xD even tho Stana looks just as beautiful with her hair up. brings out her flawless face
also i'm happy to observe that Nathan is losing a little weight again.. or i'm just getting used to it xD

The ep was good for a great laugh Our Elvises popping up like that was great .. And Esposito calling himself El-vis, the black Elvis

But.. shooting us in the face with a super dark promo right after a super light episode.. ABC, seriously! What is wrong with you? I wanted to last but THIS and I'm totally on my grave writing. 2 weeks on the grave peeps!

I was thinking that too. It seems like Stana has had her hair up a lot lately and we're not getting all that hairporn that we love to see. She still looks beautiful though.

The Elvis costumes were pretty funny and I loved Esposito "What Elvis can't be brown? I'm Elvez"

I actually like Gates I just want her to warm up to Castle.

And yes Alexis cleaning up was funny, She barely made it in time.

Overall it was kind of a filler episode but it was still cute.

I loved this episode. It was just a filler, but it was so funny.
And as much as I adore Castle/Beckett the great thing about this show is that all the character dynamics are truly enjoyable, so it was good to have an episode more focused on other relationships.
The Castle/Ryan/Esposito bonding was great. Ryan is so cute. Poor guy, stuck with an underage best man. Esposito was so disappointed.
I lolled also at the Esposito/Lanie scene, and Beckett wanting to stay out of it. She really acts like the big sister of the precinct.
Speaking of Beckett, I loved the contrast between the way she was this episode and the way she was in the Halloween one. Usually this season she is all smiles, while this time without Castle she looked so bored (did she even dress a little more like she used to in season 1 and season 2, or was that my impression?)
Her expression when she saw the guys all dressed up was priceless.
And I loved her bonding with Gates. The new captain really is growing on me, even if I'll always miss Montgomery, and I hope to see more of that in future episodes.
The scenes with Castle and Alexis were so cute. He is such an amazing father. (as a side note, I can't get over the smiling picture of Beckett that showed on his phone when it rang during the initial scene, I want to know when he took it. )
And the promo. I'm off to gush about it in the news thread.

I watched the episode but i cant review more yet. just got a root canal. but I loved the episode and I loved the costumes lol

I liked the episode but it was definitely filler and it's definitely not a favourite in the way Cops and Robbers immediately shot into my top 5.

I didn't like the Elvis suits. If they had to dress them up I would have preferred something else, although I did appreciate Esposito's 'El-vez' line.

I'm really liking Gates so I'm glad we got to see a bit more of her and less of the 'solve this now' that she's usually on. I think she's been trying to establish herself in the precinct, showing that she shouldn't be messed with and now she's been there a while she's able to relax a little bit.

The episode seemed particularly Beckett lite although I imagine that's probably because after the emotional rollercoaster of last week and (what looks to be from the promo) the emotional rollercoaster of the next episode SK needs some time to prepare as it can't be easy.

I'm annoyed at the Best Man thing. Hopefully later on Jenny will relent and let Ryan choose who he wants (Esposito obviously) as that's the one part of the wedding he should be given his own choice over.

Excited for the next episode now. It looks incredible.
