She was never really their equal. She was always the leader of the group. But despite that they were friends. Captain is just a formal title instead of lead investigator.

No she wasn't their equal but I meant in the sense of them all being detectives.

Loved this episode. Man Castle is hilarious. Just love it. And I loved the Nose too. She was such a great character and the lady who places her nailed it with her facial expressions lol
