Yes, that is correct... in his head (and if true he's from the future), it explains it.

For the "non-believers" like me, I'm hunting for whatever clue on how Doyle knows this (if he's not from the future).

It's not important, I'm over analyzing our favorite show..

LOL love how there are believers and non-believers. They really kept us guessing on this one didn't they!

What makes me a believer is the coffee stain. It was the exact marking on the paper as in the copy/picture.
