No remember she didn't want to go because she was depressed about getting that F on her egg assignment because of her drunk friend. Castle asked why wasn't she dressed for the party. I suspect Molly can only work certain hours and couldn't do the party scene. Remember Hollywood has rules about minors only working for certain hours. I am guessing the party ran over her time to be on set.
