Nope, one writer I believe said if they had the kids that means they made it but I could've sworn there was a tweet before that said fans can interpert it how they want too.

That was from the original show runner Terri Miller said that. Since she didn't write it I just ignored that advice. She was just happy there wasn't a season 9 to ruin the Caskette she help build for 7 years.

^They didn't want a s8 to begin with I think it's more of a to each their own. I def think they made it and had the kids but I feel they should've never had Caleb show up and after breakfast go for a "nap" and than do the 7 year mark. With the shooting I can see how some fans would think it was them dreaming of the life they should have had but I won't complain

The had warning to make two endings. I don't know why they didn't shoot two endings. This is why I almost didn't watch Nathan's new show. Because the show runner was from season 8 Castle. I only gave it a chance because it's his own show and not someone eles's creation.

^Well the cancellation came right around the time the final episode would air, if you don't have confirmation while still filming you end it the way Castle did for season 7, the door was opened with decisions but was also at a place where it could end.
