Been using my recent time at home to learn how to brew ale. I’ve got ginger ale on the right and a Belgian Trippel on the left. Had a scary moment last night when the Trippel pushed some krausen into the carboy. I have a feeling this was Charles’ Law at play when the temperature got warmer in the evening. Anyway, gave it a cold water bath and the volume subsided. Now they are fermenting nicely in my basement. Yes, I have a basement and it will be where I’m living in the event of a nuclear attack. Anyway, I’m learning a lot.
