yes I have the feeling she has a rough shell but underneath she is pretty much okay. we will see how it goes

Thanks for the thread :) She reminds me of every time a new ADA came along on L&O:SUV. Tough for a while but with a good heart and eventually she warms up to the team.

Yeah, but it'll be fun to watch all of them struggle to get used to each other.

I like Captain Gates. Sure she is a hardass, but has that wit about her as evident whenever any of the guys called her sir. :lol: I would love to learn more about her, which hopefully will happen in the upcoming episodes.

lol i thought it was weird to call her sir too but i loved how castle let the major call her and made her face twitch :D

I think that Castle and Captain Gates is going to be a lot of fun to watch with him trying to get under her skin as much as possible. I can already see Castle calling Captain Gates maam just to irritate her. :lol:

I already like "Iron Gates", majority of her scenes in "Rise" made me laugh. It's funny to see Esposito and especially Ryan totally paranoid around her :D
And Penny Johnson is really good, I liked her in "24", so it's great to see her on "Castle".

I personally can't stand her!! :lol: YET. I get the feeling she's gonna come around though once she sees how awesome Beckett and Castle are together. And if she doesn't, well, he can always call the mayor again. :lmao:

I think that bringing a character like Gates to the precinct was a great idea. :) There's going to be lots of conflict and it's going to make things very very interesting, I'm sure. I can't wait for her to start noticing the sexual tension between Castle and Beckett. If she hasn't already :sigh:

OMG, when the mayor hung up on her it totally cracked me up :lmao:. And I can't believe how afraid Ryan and Esposito are when she's around. Ryan is freakin' paranoid :lol:.
