the make-up team did great work with Katniss' eyes after the choking too made it all the more real, which is something you actually don't really see in tv/movies

Aw I just can't wait to see the epilogue! I'm sure FL must had done a great work with it, and I'm dying to see it

You know, you are so very right! When I first saw her blood injected eyes I thought that they definitely looked real! I was impressed!
The whole scene looks realistic then, from the violence he used on her to her swollen veins on her neck while he's chocking her... it's very very well done, no doubt about it!

The choking scene was a lot more violent than I think anyone expected. But I guess that was the point: maximum impact.
