Definitely the best bond that grew in this franchise. The way Finnick looked out for Peeta, there are no words.
If only he had survived. Not just to be there for his family but to be there as Peeta's best man at his and Katniss' wedding. He surely would have been in their lives forever. __________________

I loved the fact that Finnick was the only one he truly trusted when hijacked and they didn't even know each other before the games.

Peeta was so calm with Finnick, I loved everything and I will admit I am not the least bit sad they didn't include the dining area scene from the book. That scene made me all kinds of uncomfortable when reading it. I guess it was a good way to show just how the hijacking had warped Peeta's thinking he couldn't recognise his friends, to him they were all in cahoots with Katniss the mutt. I will be forever grateful to FLaw for leaving that entire sequence out and shifted the Johanna/Katniss interchange about her and Peeta being familiar with one another's screams to Finnick's wedding.
