How is "The Selection"? I read they tried to turn it into a series for The CW but it wasn't picked up.

When I read THG, I felt reminded of both "Lord of the Flies" by William Golding and "Brave New World" by Aldous Huxley. The former because of the setting, the latter because of the way the society is segregrated and an outsider rebelled against it.
