I'm so sad about Cory. Matt did a tribute to him at his show today.

And we’ll do it in Cory’s honor.”

This is just so sad and tragic.

I know what you mean. I was touched and devastated at the same time when I heard about it. A fan on Twitter said that Matt was near tears when he performed the song.

Now granted I take comments from unnamed sources with a grain of salt, but I still wanted to share this.

It made me cry again. i do not believe this. Glee has been with me since episode 1. i could never get so attached to the new kids, but the old guys. OMG, o love them all. I mean Some of them just leaving the show with their careers and all, that's fine, but what happened now. Glee and Television will never be the same. this is too sad

Um, you know the best we possibly can be. I guess the good thing was that when like this happens, you know, we are such a family— we really um, came together; I remember uh, when it happened you know, I was up till 5 A.M., just talking to every single cast member. We um, we all just reached out to each other and uh, it was a bonding time but it was incredibly hard.

and from before during his show:

"[Let’s] get the elephant in the room out of the way. Um, yesterday we lost a great— a great soul and brother of mine. Uh, Cory Monteith died yesterday, who plays Finn on Glee. And um, I just wanted to come here and kind of talk— not really talk, I just wanted to sing a song. Brad and I, Brad and I knew him very well and uh, he was a beautiful person and he just passed away much too soon. This song is for Cory.

[He sings “Kiss Today Goodbye"]

Thank you. Um, Here’s the thing about this show, it’s like what do you do in this kind of situation? It’s uh, so awkward and strange but um, I came here to perform a show and you guys came to see a show and that’s what’s going to happen. We’re gonna have a good time and we’re gonna do it in Cory’s honor. Thank you."
