Also, it looks as if the US production of the show might go into production at the end of this year

Not a fan of the remake. I wonder what kind of channel will get it. I really hope it will go to cable because a regular network is not well suited for a show like this.

I hope it doesnt end up like Skins. MTV were the worst possible people to pick up the show. Channels like HBO, Starz, etc would be a good fit for Misfits imo.

If MTV gets it...it will fail. It needs to be a channel like HBO or SHowtime.

HBO and Showtime are the best channels for it to be one even if I don't want the US version to happen though.

ITA. But i dont see HBO picking up a show like Misfits....MAAAAYBE Showtime but i think even that may be a stretch

Just as long as Misfits doesnt get ruined, i'll be happy.
Do you guys think they will have new characters or will it be just like Skins, with the same exact characters? If they keep the same cast, how will they get someone that is as good/funny as Nathan?

Well the Pilot will be the same 100%, it's always like that with remakes but I think that after that they are going to stir it in a different direction a bit. They also need to adapt. Not everything that happens on the original would come across the same way to a different audience.

I totally disagree with a remake.. This isn't a show with an easy remake, especially if it's still on air...

Yeah it might turn out good but I'm not a big fan of remakes in general, so I'm always sceptic about them.

I know. they are basically going to have to go above and beyond in order to make this thing right. Perfect cast, directing, writing...i guess it's nice that Howard is at least involved but i still dont see the point of making a remake.

Time will tell. I just hope the right network is going to be behind all of this. If it ends up on MTV like Skins than it will be awful. But if it ends up on Showtime or F/X or any other decent cable it should be fine. I wonder who they'd cast and if they would go for young, unknown actors.
