Robert Sheehan talks about misfits in a magazine article:

In fine Misfits style they’ve left Nathan alive, a cheeky cliffhanger. I try to never say never, I think it’s a bad omen to say that. But deciding to leave wasn’t really difficult. I’d done two solid series and felt content I’d taken all I could out of the character and the show. I’m a hungry, selfish actor. I like doing lots of different stuff, so I decided to move on and be proud of the two series I’d done. I don’t think I’ve ever watched a US remake and gone ‘that’s better than the original’. I’m not a fan of remakes; I think most of them are bull****. I don’t hold much hope for the Misfits remake being any good, but if Howard Overman’s writing the pilot then it’s going to be great because he’s the brain. He’s the guy who created Misfits and I wish it all the success in the world.

i have to agree with him though i do like the american Shameless over the original. but it's good he's being so candid about the subject

Was just watching the Irish tv series he did he was amazing in it the character so different to Nathan.

Agree with what he is saying about remakes. I only enjoyed the QaF remake. As for Shameless, I'm too used to the accents from the original, so the US version just felt odd to me.

Or that. I wish remakes were forbidden by law, so many shows and movies are remade. I don't understand why they can't show foreign movies, it's not like reading subtitles is some difficult task.
