I am sure they've had other series with lower rankings - but if most actors/actresses are leaving? Then what are they to do?

I liked the scene when Stefan used a sword to attack Julian when he tried to kill Damon :-D it seems that Mama Salvatore chose to help her boy's kill Julian although I still don't totally trust her and the part with the babies of Alaric inside of Caroline and she now knows Valerie was pregnant of Stefan's child ugh it's getting weirder every episode

Gossip Girl had these kind of figures when its final season was ordered.

I think TVD and TO will get one more season, but no more. TO might get a shorter one, like GG did.

I didn't like this episode. I felt as though a lot of the Giuseppe stuff was retcon. I also felt that Lily wouldn't have changed her mind over Julian that quickly. Love is blind.

I get the creeps over this baby storyline and everytime I see Alaric and Caroline in a room together now.

Another thing this episode made me ponder was the number of abusive relationships that you see on this show.

Damon - Caroline
Damon - Bonnie
Damon - Elena
Lily - Giuseppe
Lily - Julian
Klaus - Rebekah

I'm probably forgetting some, but the common denominator in all these is that it's always the woman who is being abused. One of the things I hate about this show now is that it's so misogynistic, which is ironic in itself given that the showrunners are female. I think that makes it even more concerning.

There's a lot of abuse, I agree, but in the Damon/Bonnie relationship, she does her fair share of torturing too

I really expected Stefan and Caroline to have more scenes. It felt as though the writers were going out of their way to emphasize that Steroline were in a relationship with the constant "boyfriend"/"girlfriend" comments for two episodes, but ever since they had sex they've hardly seen each other. It really sucks so far.
