I just read something on YT about the last episode that's bothering me. I really didn't feel it when I watched the episode but now that I read this person's opinion, I'm questioning myself. Grr. I should never read commentaries on YT.

Something about how Elena needs to accept her feelings for Damon or she'll get herself burned. That person was talking about the scene at Elena's house where she talks about how she knows that Damon is right, but doesn't want to be that kind of person. They're saying that she felt something for Damon when they were at the party and she's fighting her feelings for him. They also said that she was talking about Damon when she told Stefan 'I feel things I don't want to feel.'

I honestly think that Elena just decided that Damon isn't the person she wants to be like. That's what she meant when she said that she should be going through all of it with Stefan and not Damon, because Stefan is the person she wants to be like or else why would she tell Damon she doesn't want to be like him? But no, that person is saying that she's feeling guilty for having fun with Damon because she loves him and doesn't want to accept her feelings for him. Grr.

Oh lord. Elena didn't feel anything but a blood high while at that party. She is not Katherine who taught Damon his ways. She does not want to revel in the blood lust. She enjoyed the high but the moment the crash happened the guilt set in. For her to truly enjoy it she would have to turn it off. I stand by that being the only way DE could happen.

I have to agree. In that dancing scene Elena was in love with NOTHING other than that blood rush/high. She was in perfect vampire bliss by it, and Damon just happened to be there. IMO she would have acted no differently had it been anyone else that pushed her into that situation. There was nothing romantic, no light bulb moment of feelings in that scene. To me it was simply about the high of giving in to her vampirism. As for the porch scene at the end, I think that person is far reaching trying to say she feels guilty b/c she loves Damon. Unless I am a total dummy and don't know how to interpret a show/scene, her guilt in that moment was strictly b/c of the bloodlust feelings Damon got her to tap into. She doesn't want the vampire feelings, cravings and such. Because she is pure, innocent, compasionate and still Elena. (who chose Stefan might I add )
