 Hi Saba, welcome to our safe Salex heaven! It's always so great when you find people who share your obsessions!  Have fun and feel free to post and get into the conversation!  I think, that to help the rating they need more romance it'll help bring more younger viewers and women to the show, what can I say, that's what attracts me the most to shows.  But yeah, with the other stories they have to change a few things, and I do believe that puttig Michael and Nikita together in the first season wasn't a good idea.  We'll see what they do. Yes, when they cancell a show the remaining episodes air, but we don't get another season when September comes. __________________

Haha, sort of. I was experimenting but didn't think too hard about the chemistry of what I was doing, so the results are...tasty but odd. My brother made a lemon meringue pie over the holidays with a rosemary meringue. It's actually a really great flavor combination. Well, pavlova is a dessert made using eggs whites, so I decided to try making some little mini pavlova cookies. Well, you get the rosemary flavor by making rosemary simple syrup (sugar, water, fresh rosemary, boil until syrup, remove rosemary). This is, obviously, a liquid. Pavlova is made with dry sugar. Substituting simple syrup changed the consistency, so I had to add flour to stiffen it up, which usually isn't in pavlova at all. The first couple batches I made like cookies and they turned out OK, but got really crispy and hard.
As my batter was sitting, the syrup kept separating out from the rest of the batter, so I knew I wasn't going to be able to keep making cookies - it was going to get too runny. So instead I filled up a bunch of mini cupcake pans. That kind of worked, except it was still separating. So the final product is kind of like a thin disc of candy with meringue on top. It's weird but tasty, lol.  |
