Okay, the only show I seriously watched before November was ER and The Nanny. Never really liked Ray's attitude, especially back in Season 11 (you know, mooching off, abandoning a job, stuff like that). But in Nikita? he is LOVE.

Foo Fighters Debut New Songs at Secret L.A. Show
The Foo Fighters played a secret show in Los Angeles on Tuesday night (Dec. 21), returning to one of singer Dave Grohl's favorite "Valley" haunts, rock club Paladino's. In advance of their last album, 2007's "Echoes, Silence, Patience & Grace," Grohl and gang also used the Tarzana dive to introduce new music to a core group of diehard fans, family members and famous friends. Three years later, the scene was no different. Among the famous faces in the crowd were actors Ryan Phillippe, Amanda Seyfried and Shane West who took in a set list which featured more than its share of Foos hits, including opener "Times Like These," "My Hero," "For All The Cows," "Generator," "The Pretender" and "Learn To Fly." The band also debuted several new songs, "Dear Rosemary," "White Limo," and "Back and Forth," the latter which may end up as the title of the their seventh album, Grohl told the crowd (see a full list of song titles here). For one song, presumably called "I Should Have Known," Nirvana bassist Krist Novoselic joined the band on stage. According to previous reports, he also appears on the forthcoming album, playing accordion. The gig, which Grohl hinted at several times on Twitter, comes just as the band finishes mixing that very record, produced by Butch Vig in Grohl's home studio, as opposed to the massive Foo Fighters recording compound (dubbed Studio 606) in Northridge, Calif. where the last two albums were made. According to a source, the all-analog directive set by Grohl back in August was strictly adhered to, even if that meant rerecording entire songs live for take after take. The result is said to be nothing short of pure, triumphant rock-n-roll. "There's not an acoustic guitar on the whole record," confided one person who's heard several songs and promises a return to form. Indeed, Grohl himself tweeted that it was their "most rocking record" yet, which should delight the Foos' core audience, some of whom have stuck with the band going on 17 years. The album is due out in the Spring and the Foos have shows already lined up well into the summer, including several festival appearances. Among them: Sasquatch in Gorge, Washington, the Isle of White in the U.K. and T in the Park in Scotland. Foo Fighters Debut New Songs at Secret L.A. Show | Billboard.com |
