It's OK if you won't ever see Shane as Michael all the way through. I know I have characters I LOVE where, were anyone else to ever play them down the line, I would strongly dislike it and even if I warmed up to it, I still wouldn't choose them over the original. I'm glad you're liking Shane's portrayal though.
